Student Success Statement

"Being a c-t-r person isn't always easy, but it's the best person you can be."
-Diana Beltran

This is a true statement that Ms.Diana has given us. Being and doing the right thing all the time isn't easy but it's the best decision you could make. Being a ctr person not only makes you feel good but it also spiritually, physical, and mentally makes you feel good. Of course you aren't going to be an expert the first time but like anything else you do in life practice makes perfect. For example when you first learn how to ride a bike you have the training wheels to help you but as you learn eventually the training wheels will be removed and you will be an expert at it. Think of yourself riding the bike and think of all the things around you as the training wheels teaching and training you to be the best you can possibly be. This isn't only great for you being a ctr person but its good to know as a part of life. Life is hard and you will have struggle and downfalls in between but you have to know how and when to balance things out. So yes I agree that it is hard to be a ctr person but it will and is and always will be the best decision you'll ever make.

Student Success Statement

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing."
-Theodore Roosevelt

This is a true statement that everyone should live by. For example if you had to choose a decision weather to go to the mall with your friends or stay and study for a test you have the next day the right decision would be to stay home and study for your test. Why you might ask? well studying is the right thing to do the mall is always going to be there but you failing that test your grade will drop tremendously. Especially since in most schools your grading is based on your test scores you would want to make sure that you have all your studying at any time and moment for a test. In many moment when decision making is needed the best thing to do is always do the right thing. Right is right even if your friends try to convince you to do otherwise and wrong is wrong even if the whole world is for it. So remember to always follow the decision that your heart truly desires.

Student Success Statement

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong."
-Wilford Woodruff

This is a tremendously true statement. When you do bad things bad things will come to you. When you do good things good things will come to you. For example if you don't do your homework or something you face the consequences of getting a phone call home or getting a zero on that assignment. You could have avoided those bad consequence if you jut would have done your homework on time when it was due. However, when you do something good like getting good grades all year long you might get honor roll or even a surprise from your parents. When you do bad things nothing will ever come to you. You can learn from that lesson but you won't succeed or get ahead. In addition to that when you do good you elevate and you get one step ahead then where you were. These examples should teach you how important it is to do that right thing no matter what. You can do something bad but what do you really gain. In class we were watching this video of a teen girl getting caught doing drugs. What did she gain? nothing. She gained nothing but jail time plus a $10,000 fine that she now has to pay. Not only was she caught doing drugs but in court she didn't take the consequences that she could have possibly face serious and was disrespectful. Further more in return she faced all these consequences when it could have simply been avoided if she was never doing drugs, if she would have taken the consequences she could possibly faced serious, and if she would have just done the right thing from the beginning.

Softball Game

"It's a great thing when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."
-Pam Knox
This is a tremendously great and honest statement. Character is personality and personality is character. In the story about Sarah Tucholsky while playing softball it was her last time to make her first home run because she was going to be a senior and she has never made one before. However, on the second half in the last quarter her dream had finally came true. She made a home run. But in the middle of running across the diamond she noticed she didn't hit the first base so she went back and hit that first based and injured herself. In the game of softball you can't help your teammates or else you will be penalized. Instead of leaving her two of her teammates went to get her and walk her around the base no matter of the lost the would have gotten because they thought that she deserved that moment. This is a great example of doing the right thing at the right time. This relates to being a ctr person 24/7. When you choose to be a ctr person 24/7 you will be doing the right thing all the time. You will be doing the right thing no matter if everyone is against you. The moral of the story is always do the right thing no matter what. Character build your self esteem.

Reflection: I would not want to be a radiology technician. The reason being that body science isn't my best subject and something I am interested in. I would want to do more like a doctor somewhere  there in the medical field. However, radiologist technician isn't something bad but it isn't something I would want.

Student Success Statement

"I have been asked what I mean by 'word of honor' I will tell you; Place me behind prison walls- walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick,, reaching ever so far into the ground- there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first."
-Karl G Maeser
It is basically saying that it is important that you keep your word in anything that you say you will do or going to do. Keeping you word in small thing such as walking your dog, doing homework everyday, or cleaning your room or even in big things such as making dinner, helping a friend with homework on Tuesdays after school, or even taking care of your little cousins. Keeping your word is a big responsibility and it's all up to you to stick to it. When you keep your word you look trustworthy, dependable, and responsible. Keeping your word will get you far in life/. Keeping your word is like your watch on your wrist or on your phone keeping track of the right time. When your phone starts to tell you the wrong time that shows dishonesty and something that isn't loyal. So remember to always keep your word whether it's something small or little big or enormous.

Reflection: I would not want to be an x ray technician because bones scare me. Or just seeing anything inside the body in general scares me. However, I would want to be an x ray technician that checks for the ultra sounds. That would be something I would want to do that has to do with checking anything inside the body and doing x rays. Though an x ray technician is a good career to follow this just isn't something I would want to do.

Indian Commandments

10 Indian Commandments
  1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect
  2.  Remain close to the great spirit
  3. Show great respect to your fellow beings
  4. Work together for the benefit of all man kind
  5. Give assistance and kindness whenever needed
  6. Do what you know to be right
  7. Look after the well-being of the mind and body
  8. Dedicate a share of  your great efforts to the greater good
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times
  10. Take full responsibilities for your actions
Reflection: How we can relate to these commandments at school is by respecting all teachers, kids, and staffs at all times. We could also relate to these commandments by giving help when needed whether it is at work, school, or even out in public to those who are in need. The 10 Indian commandments are unique and inspiring. Everyone should try to follow these 10 commandments. When you do what is right you feel right. A big commandment that I felt was really true was #10 "taking responsibilities for your actions." That one was a big one because many people play the victim when they are in trouble or when your problem comes along. I feel if you were able to do something bad or good you should be able to face the consequences or the reaction. My mom has always told me every action has a reaction and it all depends on the choices you make weather your reaction will be something bad or good.

A Promise

"A promise must never be broken."
-Alexander Hamilton
I believe that promises are suppose to be kept no matter what. Promises are when you say you are going to do something or you aren't going to do something. Promises are very important. For example this teacher had a made a promise and boy oh boy did he keep it. His promise was to not shave his bread until someone was caught or dead. He kept his bread for more than 3,000 days. He was loyal to his word and didn't break his promise.

Goodness
"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."

-Henry David Thoreau

This is a true statement we make many investments throughout our life. We may invest in jobs, money, stock, or other good offers. Sometimes investments we invest in might fail. However, the only investment that never will fail is goodness. An act of kindness will never fail. But, if you invest in bad things chances of you failing are 85% likely. An example in investing in something bad is harming someone or doing something that isn't prohibited. Your consequences for your bad actions can be jail time, probation, or service community service hours. An investment that will never fail is your good deed. Happiness and success will come your way. All your actions do come with a reaction but it's all in the choices you make that will determine weather it will be a good reaction or bad reaction. If we all just spread love the world will be a happier place and failure would not be in our minds just doing something as small as giving someone a smile down the hall might make someones day. You never know today might be the day you light up someones day.

Psychologist

Psychologist

Duties And Responsibilities: Psychologists study the human mind. Their research help understand behavior, memory and mental health disorders. Through counseling and experimentation, psychologists work to promote safety, understanding and good mental health.

    Salary: $83,580

Education: Becoming a psychologist requires obtaining a master's or doctoral degree. During this process, students might perform research, work supervised clinical rotations, and tech classes. Psychologists can choose from a variety of specialties, such as counseling, schooling, or clinical psychologist.

Demands and Needs For This Profession: Master's or Doctoral Degree

Refection

No, I would not want to be a psychologist because I am not interested in science and anatomy and how the body works. This is more for someone who is interested in how he brain and body functions. In fact, I would really want to be a registered nurse and help the sick. However, this profession does sound like a good job but not something I would personally want to do in the future unless I am interested in the brain and how it functions. Though I probably would want to get a little involved in knowing somethings about mental disorders because I have a god sister who has a mental disorder and she has complications talking properly. Due to the fact of her having a mental disorder she was taught sign language and that is how we communicate with her. Even though I don't know sign language I still find a way to communicate with her and I would just want to be a little more involved in how to help families who has kids or young kids in general reconnect or make a connection with a kid who suffers form mental disorders.

" My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular, you make them because they are right. "
