"I have been asked what I mean by 'word of honor' I will tell you; Place me behind prison walls- walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick,, reaching ever so far into the ground- there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first."
-Karl G Maeser
It is basically saying that it is important that you keep your word in anything that you say you will do or going to do. Keeping you word in small thing such as walking your dog, doing homework everyday, or cleaning your room or even in big things such as making dinner, helping a friend with homework on Tuesdays after school, or even taking care of your little cousins. Keeping your word is a big responsibility and it's all up to you to stick to it. When you keep your word you look trustworthy, dependable, and responsible. Keeping your word will get you far in life/. Keeping your word is like your watch on your wrist or on your phone keeping track of the right time. When your phone starts to tell you the wrong time that shows dishonesty and something that isn't loyal. So remember to always keep your word whether it's something small or little big or enormous.
