You may work in a hospitals or medical center's radiology department or work in emergency rooms. Some x-ray technicians specialize in areas such as computed tomography (CT) scanning, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and mammography.

Education: Individuals interested in this growing field need an associate's degree in radiology as well as state licensure to gain employment. Requirements for licensure vary by state. They also can earn voluntary certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Demands And Needs: Requires an associates degree in radiology as well as a state licensure to gain employment. Licensure requirements vary by state.

Reflection: I would not want to be an x ray technician because bones scare me. Or just seeing anything inside the body in general scares me. However, I would want to be an x ray technician that checks for the ultra sounds. That would be something I would want to do that has to do with checking anything inside the body and doing x rays. Though an x ray technician is a good career to follow this just isn't something I would want to do.
