Family values
What are family
values?
Family values, sometimes referred to as
familial values, are traditional or cultural values that pertain to the
family's structure, function, roles, beliefs, attitudes, and ideals.
I thought to talk about this topic because my family
is very family orientated and this is just a traditional trait that has been
passed down by generations to generations.
Traditional family values are important because they are the glue
that holds a family together.
Monogamy within marriage, loyalty, duty, respect and perseverance contribute to
a sense of safety and comfort, both between the spouses and with the children. All families should have a
system of family values and things that will always be carried. This helps keep
the family socially and physically involved. This is why I think family values
are important and all families should try to have some. "When
you use a muscle in your body over and over again in a certain way, it makes
the muscle stronger. Sharing experiences over and over again in a certain way
strengthens a family." Traditions
give the family stability and
a feeling of belonging. Values and
beliefs are often reinforced through our traditions.
